A Democrat-controlled Congress will soon have the chance to act on many of the issues that brought people out to vote, panelists explained last night. Issues such as the war in Iran, immigration, and the president’s use of the National Guard are among the “central touchpoints that we’ve seen over the last couple of years that have really driven people to anger, and to the polls,” Adam Harris, the host of Radio Atlantic , argued. And although some people will say that the results of the midterms are “retribution from Democrats,” he added, “a lot of voters will say it’s accountability.”

Joining the editor in chief of The Atlantic , Jeffrey Goldberg, to discuss this and more: Peter Baker, a chief White House correspondent at The New York Times ; Leigh Ann Caldwell, a chief Washington correspondent at Puck ; Stephen Hayes, the editor and CEO of The Dispatch ; and Harris.
